The Collinsville Baptist Church Expansion required joining the new addition and the existing structure. The project featured mixed wall materials, a TPO roof system with parapets and rooftop units, and the reclaimed steeple from the original church — repurposed as a central architectural element. Achieving this tie-in required coordination across trades and respect for the church’s historical character.
Our team engineered and detailed the structure to ensure accurate load transfer and clean connections at the tie-in points. Careful coordination allowed the existing steeple to be successfully restored and reinstalled, preserving its symbolic presence. Material transitions between masonry, metal panels, and roofing systems were carefully managed to maintain both performance and aesthetics while meeting the client’s budget and schedule.
The expansion blends heritage and modern performance, creating a cohesive facility that honors the church’s history while supporting its future growth. The integration of reclaimed materials, mixed façades, and updated roof systems showcases our ability to merge technical precision with architectural continuity.
