The GC for the Climb Tulsa project came to us with a significant problem. Their PEMB provider was failing to perform due to the complex wall loading requirements. Additionally, the site posed challenges, with a tight 10-foot setback to an active highway. Finally, the design called for custom powder-coated panels with varying orientations, the integration of a mezzanine, stairs, elevator steel, and wood canopy supports.
Our team engineered the building system to accommodate the unique wall loading while achieving the architect’s intended design elements. Through close coordination between the design team and field crews, we streamlined fabrication, staged deliveries and erected the building from within it’s own footprint.
The completed facility merges architectural expression with structural integrity, delivering a modern, visually striking climbing gym that performs as impressively as it looks. Every element — from the clean panel transitions to the exposed interior structure — reflects a shared commitment to detail, collaboration, and execution on a challenging urban site.
